Establishment of the Beekeepers Cooperative Society in Al-Ahsa (Hiba)

To support the Beekeeper's Day, celebrated annually on February 2, 2023, Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, a human resources expert in social development and chairman of the board of the non-profit National Center for Agricultural Investment, issued his approval for the establishment of a cooperative association for beekeepers in Al-Umm (Hiba) on Thursday, January 26, 2023 AD, corresponding to July 4, 1444 AH. Announcing the completion of the anticipated association, the association will be held by the beekeepers of Cocot in Eastern Al-Ahsa. For his part, the Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors, Mr. Ali bin Taher Al-Arfaj, expressed his pride in the establishment of the animal association, highlighting its important role in developing the beekeeping sector, supporting and marketing local products, and strengthening the role of beekeepers and investing their expertise and business in the sustainability of the governorate's environmental economic sector, maximizing green cover, and working to protect and increase honeybee populations. The association's headquarters is scheduled to open later this year, and the association will begin implementing events and initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the importance of adhering to it in a collaborative environment. To this end, the association will announce, on the day it broadcasts its news, the approval of February 2, 2023, as the "Beekeepers' Day" initiative. Special events and awareness workshops will be organized for beekeepers and the general public. Details of these events will be announced at a later date. The establishment of a Beekeepers' Cooperative in Al-Ahsa (Hiba) aims to develop the honey production industry and promote cooperation and exchange in this field between beekeepers and farmers. It is expected that a portion of the association will participate in services to enhance beekeepers' capabilities, produce local honey, and raise community awareness of the importance of the refinery. The association is open to membership and encourages all beekeepers and those interested in the soup industry, across all its services, to communicate with us, promote its services, and participate in its activities.
